The phone’s display has enough brightness and its viewing angle is also quite good. Due to HD + resolution, text and photos do not look very sharp. Users can use on-screen buttons or EMUI gestures if they wish. The body of Honor 8C is made of plastic.
Due to the length and width of the phone, you may be uncomfortable using it with one hand. The smartphone looks strong, but this handset of Honor brand does not give a premium look compared to other smartphones coming in the budget of 10,000 to 15,000 rupees. The glossy plastic back panel makes fingerprints quite easy and due to the smoothness, the phone can slip by hand.
Like other Honor smartphones, color gradient has also been used on the back panel of Honor 8C. The black and blue gradient is visible on the back panel of the review unit we have. The SIM tray is provided on the left side of the phone, users can install two nano SIMs and a microSD card slot. There is a lock / power and volume button on the right side. On the lower part of the phone loudspeaker and primary microphone, while the secondary microphone and 3.5mm headphone jack have got place in the upper part.
The micro-USB port has been used in place of USB Type-C in the phone. Fingerprint sensor and face recognition work at high speed and correctly. Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 chipset for speed and multitasking and Adreno 506 GPU for graphics has been given with 4 GB RAM. Asphalt 9 and PUBG can be easily played after reducing the graphics settings. Please wait for the full review for detailed information about the performance.
Dual-SIM Honor 8C Out of Box will run on EMUI 8.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. EMUI is fast but there are many bloatware in this phone of Honor brand. First-party applications such as HiCare, Huawei Health, Theme, Honor Store and Honor Club will be pre-installed with Facebook, Messenger, Netflix and Camera 360.
Honor 8C Cameras
Now talk about camera setup. Honor 8C has dual camera setup on the back side. The archer is a 13-megapixel primary sensor with F / 1.8. It has a black and white sensor with a 2 megapixel F / 2.4 aperture. The handset has an 8-megapixel selfie camera on the front panel. Its aperture is F / 2.0. Both camera setups are equipped with LED flash. The phone also has AR stickers support and it works correctly. A 4000 mAh battery works to revive the phone.
It is expected that the price of Honor 8C will be less than Honor 8X (review). Let us know that the initial price of Honor 8X in India is Rs 14,999. In the Indian market, Honor 8C will compete with Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1, Nokia 5.1 Plus (Review) and Realme 1 (Review).
