How much power in Redmi Note 7S? at first sight…

Surprising everyone, Xiaomi India released the teaser of the new Redmi Note 7S smartphone in India last week. The company already has handsets like Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro in the market, so it is a little surprising that why the company has tried to confuse its own customers. One reason for launching Redmi Note 7S could be that Xiaomi wanted to give customers another option of a phone with 48 megapixel camera. Or the company is considering the non-existence of this feature as a deficiency of Redmi Note 7. Xiaomi has introduced Redmi Note 7S at a very aggressive price to overcome this shortcoming. Actually, it is the Indian incarnation of Redmi Note 7 launched in China.

We got a chance to spend some time with the Redmi Note 7S. How did we like this handset at first glance? Let’s tell …

If you have also seen one model of Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 7 series, then assume that you have seen all the models. The design of Redmi Note 7S is the same as the Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro. But there is no gradient finish on the back panel of the Redmi Note 7S. Apart from this, there is no difference in the design of the three phones of the Redmi Note 7 series. If seen, Xiaomi has achieved a great synergy of beauty and premium design in the Redmi Note 7 series. In such a situation, there is nothing wrong in staying on this design.

Like other phones of the Redmi Note 7 series, the Redmi Note 7S gives a feeling of robustness in the hands. It is slightly weighty, but not so much that it is not convenient for common use. The use of glass on the front and back panels makes the phone a little fragile. In such a situation, customers will have to take special care while using Redmi Note 7S. Fingerprints easily fall on the glass, but it is possible to get rid of them easily. Xiaomi says that the phone’s body P2I comes with Nano coating. That is, it has protection from water splatter.

Xiaomi has given a 6.3-inch full-HD + screen in the phone and it has a waterdrop notch on the front panel, which the company calls as Dot Notch. It has used the same display panel as the Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro, so we have no complaints from the screen. Color reproduction is good. The screen is so bright that there is no problem in reading under direct sunlight.

The most important feature of the new smartphone is the 48-megapixel primary rear camera. By the way, Xiaomi did not officially mention the name of the primary camera sensor used in the Redmi Note 7S at the launch event. But it is clear from the website listing that the company has used Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM1 sensor in it, which is part of the Chinese variant of the Redmi Note 7. A 5 megapixel sensor with 48 megapixel camera will work in Jugalbandi.

It is certain that in the coming days, fans of Xiaomi will discuss about better sensors in Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM1 and Sony IMX586 (part of Redmi Note 7 Pro). In the limited time spent with the phone, we have found that the camera takes decent pictures. But these were more exposures than we liked. The Redmi Note 7S also has a 13-megapixel camera on the front panel. It is capable of taking excellent selfies. We will give the final response review on the camera of this phone.

The Redmi Note 7S uses the Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor. This processor is also part of Redmi Note 7. In the limited time spent with the phone, we did not have any problem in multi-tasking. During the review, we did not have any complaint even with the Redmi Note 7 with Snapdragon 660 processor.

Talking about other features, Xiaomi has provided rear fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C port, hybrid dual sim tray, IR blaster and 4G LTE support in the phone. AI Face Unlock is also given. Apart from this, the 4,000 mAh battery given in the phone supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4. The starting price of the smartphone is Rs 10,999. This price is of 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage variants. The 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage variants of the Redmi Note 7S will be sold in the market for Rs 12,999.

We will soon come up with a detailed review of the Redmi Note 7S.
